Today we held our first ever Veterans Day sew-in and presentation at
Fasturn, our UOW quilt shop between Medford & Jacksonville. It
worked out really well. About 20 quilters came for the whole day and we
presented five combat veterans with quilts that they chose from the
quilts we had displayed in the quilt shop for the day. Four young men
who had served in Iraq and one in Vietnam. A relatively unexpected
benefit was the opportunity for the recipients to talk to each other
about their experiences.

A Chance to Talk to Others
