Fayetteville, Georgia Quilter's Guild
The Quilter's Guild of the Southern Crescent, has adopted Ft Benning, Ga as our main QOV recipient. Our guild meets monthly at a local church in Fayetteville, Ga and has approximately 100 members. We have been actively involved in Community Service projects for over 11 years. In 2009, we decided to make "Quilts of Valor" as one of our outreach projects. Since that time, we have delivered over 3 dozen quilts to the wounded service men and women at Ft Benning. Recently, our guild has been awarded the "Commander's Coin", which is part of a long standing military tradition to recognize organization's contributions to the mission of a military unit. We are proud to be making a difference and equally proud to be supporting our troops. I've included a picture from our initial visit.
